If there is any pleasure in shaving it comes from the sensual touch of a good shaving brush worth having is made out of badger hair. These are made by hand. Badger hair comes from Siberia and China. There are several grades of hair, the darkest, coarsest and least expensive comes from the rump of the badger. The hair from the flank of the badger is softer, but the softest, lightest and most expensive hair comes from the belly.

Change of Ownership for the Simpsons Brand of Brushes

Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Ltd has purchased the Simpsons line of brushes and we expect to receive our first post-sale stock in the next month. In the meantime, any brushes currently left in our inventory are from before the sale.

We understand that Vulfix intends to keep the Simpsons line of brushes "as is" and all weights of hair and other specifications will remain the same. They will be supporting Simpsons brushes both pre and post sale. Em's Place looks forward to receiving the Simpsons line through their company. We think this is good news, and hope our customers will too... Vulfix is located on the Isle of Man in the UK, and our first new batch of Simpsons brushes should arrive in the next several weeks. We wish Vulfix much success with this new addition to their product line.
